My students are a group of fifth graders in an inner-city neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. The coronavirus pandemic has caused my students to be remote learning from home. A large percentage of these students do not have art supplies or materials at home to use for hands on learning projects.
For the past few weeks my students have been studying the Revolutionary War through remote learning at home. For the final project, I would like to give them the opportunity for hands on learning. We will be attempting a readers theater style performance of "The Revolutionary War in 30 minutes or Less".
I would love for my students to be able to create a model of their Revolutionary War character to use during the video performance.
Unfortunately, a large number of my students do not have materials at home to be able to create a model. This project will allow me to supply every student with the materials to create their character.
