My students need poster paper to express their artistic creativeness and use their vast imagination.
This project expired on May 28, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Faced with declining school and district budgets, the arts programs have been cut. This will bring back some of the few materials that have been cut back.
These students live in the Pico-Union District in Los Angeles, which is one of the most socioeconomically disadvantaged parts of Los Angeles.
Many of the families struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis, and thus luxuries such as arts and crafts are usually left behind as a result of the financial hardships.
I am requesting 3 rolls of poster paper for a leadership class. These Leadership students will be planning and coordinating school activities, and these poster rolls are imperative to advertise and allow the students to show their creative and artistic side for these school events. These events bring about a lot of school spirit and boost the school culture, which has been a foundation off our much of our school's great improvement over the past few years.
This project is so important, because it will impact students in our entire school, not just even one class.
These poster rolls are the main advertising device for our school events, and they have really made our hallways much more visually appealing in the past as well.
