Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a diverse bunch of creative souls. Beyond that they are resilient. They took to remote learning with stride, perseverance and willingness.
They are a generation facing the unthinkable, the unprecedented and regardless where their learning is happening they are ready to take it on full force.
Creativity is always at the heart of my students work. They are original, unique, dedicated and passionate. The ideas they come up with go beyond drawing and painting, but rather show the innovation behind artistic process and thought. They are designers, architects, photographers and artists growing with each new idea. With the transition to remote learning, the arts had to re-imagine itself from a hands on learning experience to a virtual reality.
My Project
It's that time of year again, back to school! And we begin another year learning in the time of Covid. Sure, we have made great strides in battling this virus with advances in healthcare, particularly a vaccine to help us win this fight.
While we have made progress in our fight against covid, we must continue to be vigilant as germs love a front row seat inside the classroom.
I am asking for help in keeping my classroom cleaning supplies fully stocked.
As the Visual Arts teacher, I see every student. That is a lot of hands, touching a lot of supplies and surfaces! I want to keep my students has healthy and safe as possible by disinfecting surfaces frequently.
