This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My American History and APUSH classrooms are a place of challenge and discovery. Students spend this year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they move forward in school.
The students are 11th graders in a rural eastern NC school district.
They are excited to explore the American History collaboratively, to learn about US History and their place in the World and to expand their capacity for critical thinking. They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenge their minds for the sake of learning.
My Project
Giving students the tools they need to succeed are important for sustained learning. By using the APUSH Amsco Review books from day one, students will study and review for the AP Exam. This will give students a concrete example of what will be on the test and help them gain necessary skills.
By donating to our project, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement in study habits and on the AP Exam.
Many of my students do not have access to technology outside of school so this will help them be competitive in preparing for the AP Exam.
