My Project

My students are incredibly hard workers. Many students do not have access to materials necessary for learning. My goal is always to provide a space where students can comfortably work, learn, and even discuss life at home and outside of school with me on a private and comfortable basis. I love to incorporate fun and movement into my lessons. Flexible seating like cushions and rugs give my students the space to spread out, read and work autonomously, and to genuinely enjoy learning. Students are constantly begging to come to my class and to stay in my class, despite it being a quiet work space. They love having a calm space where they can come and confide in me about their socioemotional needs. I teach classes with many English Learners and special education students, so giving them a space where they feel comfortable being themselves and where they can ask questions is so important to me. I am constantly working to improve the space, the environment, and overall, my students' happiness.
