Revamp Indoor Recess

My Students

We are a K-12, public, charter school in Utah. We are an excelling Title I school with over 40% of our students receiving free or reduced-price lunches. As a school, we excel annually, testing as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests. We do more with less and are proud of it.

My students have a passion for learning.

My students are curious and they love working together to solve problems! They come to school eager to learn every day and it really shows in their effort and enthusiasm.

My Project

As a second year teacher, I don't have a lot of supplies that my students can use during indoor recess when the weather is too bad to play outside.

I want my students to enjoy themselves and have fun at school!

LEGO kits, puzzles, magnets and straw constructors would provide opportunities for my students to be creative and work with others during recess. Having these materials will also allow my students to choose what they would like to work on. I hope to make our indoor recess more fun and exciting so that my students will be able to enjoy their break and have fun.
