Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is comprised of students in grades 1st-8th and I am the only science teacher at my school. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science and teach them all throughout their middle school years. These students have a great work ethic and have a smile on their face even when they have encounter hardship in their lives.

The majority of my students are Hispanic and come from hard working families who work long hours in the agricultural fields and warehouses that make up the Yakima Valley, which is known for its fruit.

I strive to engage these students with hands on science! These students are hard workers and continued their learning even through our global pandemic! They are diligent, creative, and deserve meaningful opportunities to deepen their learning!

My Project

By providing my students with quality headphones, students will be able to learn about their digital footprints and internet safety during our computer class. Students will also use these headphones to listen to science podcasts! These headphones will guarantee each of my students with a reliable and reusable headphone to use while at school. This will provide our computer class with the equipment we need to be successful in learning about internet safety as well as our science class with quality headphones to participate and explore online lab simulations!

With your contribution, my students will have their very own headset to learn about internet safety and their digital footprint!

This will provide valuable learning for my students as they grow up in a technology based society.
