Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class is an 8:1:1 setting, 6 boys and 2 girls- compromised of 1st and 2nd graders. All of my students are on the Autism spectrum. My class is comprised of non-verbal and verbal students. They are full of energy!

My Project

No one was prepared for the way this school year ended. With our budgets being cut and teachers are always having to think outside the box, these items will help me give my students the opportunity to get back into the groove of things. Learning is supposed to be fun and hands on and with funding being cut that seems like a hard feat adding to what has been a hard year. Supporting us with these items will help me really put back in what my class has lost over these trying times.
