Help me give my students the opportunity to all read a great book at the same time instead of having to wait for it!

My children attend a Title I elementary school with low economic opportunities around the area. Most of our children get few opportunities to expand their experiences outside of their neighborhood.
My goal is to help my students become invested in the process of becoming life-long learners.
I can't take them to far off places to get life experiences, but I can do everything possible to bring experiences to them. Their minds are like sponges, they are hungry for experiences not available to them here.
We only ask our parents to provide the basic supplies to use at school. Our funding has been lowered for this school year so any help you can give my students will be greatly appreciated.
A class set of Wayside School is Falling Down will allow my students to read a great book without waiting for it to become available in my class library. I also have a CD of the book which will allow student not reading on grade level to enjoy the book by following along with it.
There is nothing better than to see a student develop a love of reading.
Wayside School is set in a very special and hilarious school. Louis Sachar brings the characters to life and the students can relate to the story while laughing at the zany plot. We have already read the first book in the series, so the students are familiar with the characters. Please help us continue to explore Wayside School!
