My students are full of energy and excitement and have an eagerness to learn! We are a Title I school, and my students come from all different backgrounds. They are passionate about becoming lifelong learners. They are invested in their work and need more educational items in the classroom to enhance their learning experience.
Seventy-five percent of my students come from military homes and my goal is to provide a meaningful environment that fosters acceptance, perseverance, and overall just a safe place for them to thrive and learn.
My students have been greatly affected by Hurricane Florence, and are going on week five of not being in school. This is my first year teaching, and my resources are limited. Having these educational items will be so beneficial to making my classroom a fun and exciting environment to learn in!
The materials that I am requesting will be used everyday in our classroom. This is my very first year teaching, and I am looking forward to creating an exciting, and educationally driven classroom! The many book series will be put in our growing class library. I am currently in the process of getting to know each one of my students, and what they enjoy reading. Many of our classroom books aren't as exciting to them as the ones I have requested in this project! As all of you know, it is so very important to choose a book you are truly interested in, so you can dive into it! My hopes are to inspire my children to LOVE reading! The educational games will be used for any sort of free time, as well as games for different centers. As of right now, we do not have any, so these will be very greatly appreciated items that the kids will love! I have also requested a few math manipulatives. These are great for our visual learners. It gives them a way to understand the topic being taught, in their own learning style.
From small beginnings come great things!
This year our school has gone through quite a bit. We are having to start the school year all over practically. Our school has been greatly affected by Hurricane Florence. We are going on week five of no school, and I know my students will be anxious coming back to school. We also do not know the condition of the belongings in our classroom, so your donation to help restore our classroom would be so AWEsome!!
