My Students
My students are very bright and love math! They come to school eager and ready to learn. Many of them were directly impacted by Hurricane Harvey and are slowly regaining a sense of normalcy. Each day they come in my classroom ready to learn something new.
My students value each others differences and understand that even though there may be cultural differences, learning math is universal.
My students are excited to learn new concepts about math and love using technology as a way to learn.
My Project
My students love to use online technology to practice their math skills. Currently I share a cart of tablets with two other third grade teachers which limits my students access to online technology.
My students will be overjoyed to have their own tablets to use at any given time.
Having these Android tablets will allow my students to have access to many online math resources in order to help them improve on skills that will be tested on the STAAR test. These tablets will ensure that the activities and games will be unique for each student, therefore allowing for the differentiation that is needed for students to be successful.
