Help me give my students the items that they need to produce amazing works and restock my art closet with all of the items listed. All items will be used for 2D and 3D art.
I teach at a small, rural school district in Arkansas that only has roughly 290 students. Most of my students are free or reduced-price lunch recipients, and we are considered a Title I school. I am the only art teacher in my district, so I see kindergarten through twelfth grade, but this DonorsChoose project is targeted toward my 7th and 8th grade art wheel, and my high school Art 1, Art 2, Art 3 and AP art students. I run a choice-based classroom that allows my students to select their media for their artwork.
Ambitious art from my students requires an ambitious amount of supplies.
My closet is running low and I wish to give my students every possible opportunity to create work that showcases their individual voices and skills. Please help me restock my art closet with quality supplies so that my students can thrive.
My Project
All items will be going towards making quality art pieces and make them portfolio ready for art shows, college portfolios, and scholarship opportunities.
My students bring their creative A game to the table and the supplies that I provide must fill the plate.
My students have already had a chance to experience good art supplies from things that I provide from my own studio, but I can only supply so much and the supplies have been spread thin. If I were to receive these supplies in my classroom, my students will benefit greatly from being able to concentrate more on their process rather than if they're able to get the same supply they had been using.
