I am a third-grade classroom teacher from a Title I school with over 50% of the students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch. My students are kindhearted and passionate learners who are very active! They enjoy moving around the classroom and appreciate positive attention and choices.
Many of my students face challenges beyond their control.
I am looking for simple ways to help them become inspired and grow as learners. I want them to come to school and see a place that is safe, comfortable, and flexible enough to meet their needs.
My Project
My classroom is a busy place full of students who are excited and eager to learn. We do many projects throughout the school year to keep my students active and engaged in the learning process. However, these projects require materials such as tape, pens, and art supplies. With today's tight school budgets, it is often difficult to get the basic supplies we need in order to teach in our classrooms. By the end of the year, many of these supplies have run out.
This project will restock my classroom with fresh supplies for the new school year and help my students to have what they need to learn and be creative in the classroom.
These art supplies are used often to foster students' creativity and bring our classroom projects to life. Of of my students favorite places in our classroom is our stem station. They go to this area during independent work time and recess to build and be creative. My students have such amazing ideas they are constantly using our supplies to create new things. However, now that we are almost halfway through the school year our supplies are already running low! I would love your help in providing my students with these vital materials that they need to learn and grow in my classroom!
