I have the privilege of teaching a special group of students. They range from the age of 14 to 21. My students have various disabilities. The disabilities range from learning disabled to having a physical or a cognitive disability. My group of eager learners do not let their disabilities stop them from growing and learning. Every day is an adventure in the classroom, and being able to give them the physical tools to get ahead and grow gives me great joy.
The students in my class come in every day, excited and ready to learn new things!
They are eager to see their friends. They are eager to use the materials that are not available to them on a daily basis at home. Seeing their faces glow when they see new things in the classroom makes my day.
With the unwanted school budget cuts coming our way in September, I wanted my group of students to be 100% prepared for learning. 2020 has thrown a huge obstacle towards us this year. An empty classroom in September will burden my students with yet another one.
Basic needs such as glue, tape, and tissues are needed in our room.
Your help and donations will help us to be more prepared in September. Please help my students ease back into the classroom without any extra hurdles to jump over. I want to welcome them with a room that is ready to receive them.
