This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students enjoy school and love to learn. The majority of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes and do not have many educational materials at their disposal. Many also lack in background knowledge and exposure to the world around them. If given the tools, they can do anything they set their minds to do.
My students want to be successful and I want to make sure they have all the materials and experiences they need to thrive.
Each child has their own strengths and learning style. I want to be able to provide the supplies, opportunity and experiences they need to gain and share their knowledge.
My Project
Now that we have gotten to almost the midway point of the year, supplies need to be restocked and new needs have been discovered. I am continually getting new students and as my classroom keeps growing so does my list of needed supplies.
Please help me provide the supplies and equipment necessary to equip our classroom to meet the needs of all our students.
The headphones and rug are especially needed to create a classroom environment that addresses the variety of learning styles within our room. I want to be able to offer a choice of ways students can show evidence of their knowledge gained.
