My students need more restaurant supplies in order to make the restaurant a success! They need to-go boxes, containers, M&Ms, sponges, cups and dish soap.

I have some wonderful students and staff.
Every day they come to school and are eager to get to work. They all have their own quirks and teach me something new every day. Every student works significantly below their grade level but works hard every day to learn new skills. They are full of curiosity, energy and incredible potential. We focus on the positive and celebrate every success that our students achieve.
Every day we do our best to make sure that our students have the necessary tools they need to succeed, but it's not easy when you are a teacher. Budget cuts are causing us to get creative with the lack of resources. With the help of Donors Choose, I am able to provide unique and engaging materials to help my students who experience autism and other communication disorders discover new and exciting experiences and adventures that they otherwise would not be afforded.
My Project
We are in the early processes of getting our student run restaurant up and running. As we continue to progress in this we are realizing more and more that we are lacking in some essentials. The to-go containers and bowls with lids will really help the students when they are packing up the orders for the staff. It will teach students a systematic way of putting together items.
We are ordering to-go containers and bowls with lids in order to help the students deliver the food. This will help us look more professional and help the food stay warm and sanitized Some of the food we serve also needs tiny 2 oz containers for side items and this will help keep things looking better.
We also need sponges and dish soap, as I am trying to teach the students the correct way to clean up after themselves and to be responsible. The M&Ms are for the students. The kids earn money in my class and once they get a certain amount, they will get a small baggie.
Students will be able to really feel the restaurant in action and be able to connect background knowledge.
They will be able to see the similarities of the restaurant they go to everyday to the restaurant of our classroom.
