My Students

My fourth grade class is a wonderful group of kind, creative students. We focus on a growth mindset in our classroom and my students work diligently to improve and grow in their knowledge and abilities each day.

My class is composed of students from various backgrounds and demographics but what I love most about my students is the support they provide each other.

We are a family in our classroom and my students can always be found cheering each other on.

My Project

Restart is a phenomenal book to aid students as they grow and change during their pre-teen years. Restart is about a young boy who has a reputation as a bully. He loses his memory which allows him to "restart" his life and change his reputation.

Restart is a modern coming-of-age story that is relevant to 4th grade students.

It will support them in their reading development while engaging them in a story that will teach them about empathy and friendship.

I am additionally seeking funding for fluorescent light covers. I am in a classroom with sixteen fluorescent lights and no windows. The light covers will provide a calm and welcoming classroom environment. This will benefit all students but especially those susceptible to migraines and attention difficulties.
