My students walk into our classroom every day with big smiles on their faces, eager to learn. They genuinely want to be at school, and they have the most caring hearts! We have a strong community where we help each other learn and grow.
I teach at a Title I school where majority of our students did not have the opportunity to attend preschool.
100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, and most students receive food bags for the weekend. Despite these hardships, my students are enthusiastic, loving, and try their best every day!
My Project
Our school emphasizes character traits that will help our students succeed both in the classroom and the world around us. First graders need to be responsible for their supplies, schoolwork, and learning.
I want to provide the opportunity for my students to be responsible, independent learners.
If students have access to an organized approached, their arrival and dismissal procedures will be smoothly completed without step-by-step instructions from an adult.
It will be each student's responsibility to transport completed work, homework, and classroom newsletters to and from school. They will use this paper organizer to store these items throughout the school day.
