This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is 24 bundles of joy! Coming out of COVID quarantine, most of my class has never been in school before this year. Over 2/3rds of my class came into this year not knowing English. Despite all of this, my students enter each day with excitement and enthusiasm.

Because my class was new to school, they hadn't learned how to be responsible for school supplies at the beginning of the year.

Crayons were broken, glue sticks left to dry out, and pencils chewed. Now, they are ready for the responsibility of their own school supplies. By giving them the chance to take care of their own supply box, students can take ownership of their materials and demonstrate responsibility.
