Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My classroom consists of an amazing group of special education students. They are eager to come to school every day with the willingness to learn and be successful. They all come from a high poverty area with little to no resources for learning.

We are a Title I school where all students receive free lunch.

Most of them come from a single parent home or live with elderly family members. The majority of them are facing issues that we can't even imagine. Having working laptops will help them access resources and materials that will allow them to learn to love themselves and tolerate others.

My Project

Education is changing every single day, and so are the needs of my students. Students in my class use different ways to learn and succeed, but they all use one common resource. A reliable laptop.

All of my students will use the Dell laptop for research, online educational applications, and programs to strengthen their academic skills.

With a reliable resource available to my students, it will give them the ability to study and research information related to all topics including math, science, and history. In a world run by technology, using technology on a daily basis will help my students in the future as well as the present.
