This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are amazing first graders with many different learning styles and ability levels. They love hands-on, interactive, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to show what they can do. Our school is a Title I school, therefore the majority of the children who are enrolled are at risk.
It is important to me that my students have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential by providing them with the best education I can.
My ongoing goal is to continue to design and provide learning experiences that inspire and empower my students.
My Project
My students will enjoy learning financial literacy with these brightly illustrated books! I will be able to introduce them to early STEM themes and ask questions that will increase their understanding of basic money concepts.
These books will help my students have a better understanding of Financial Literacy.
Through illustrations and examples from the text, students will be able to see responsible ways to handle money. There are helpful activity sections from some of the books that will provide suggestions for hands-on lessons to accompany the text, creating a fully immersive learning experience. These resources will help my students feel empowered and ready to make good financial choices.
