Help me give my students , parents and educators the resources that they may need to assist them in becoming knowledgeable of various conditions they may encounter on a day to day basis.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students at our school are unique and resilient in their own way. We serve a mixed population of students and families from various cultures and backgrounds. We have an extremely high mobility rate and many of our students are transient. I love them dearly, as if they were my own.
They are very special to me, because, despite of the many challenges or circumstances that they face they still continue to strive to do their best.
I also appreciate the effort that they put forth despite having limited resources.
My Project
The resources requested will help to provide students, parents and educators with a wealth of information to help them become more informed about various medical and/or mental health conditions that may affect or impede an individual's day to day activities.
Often times, parents, teachers and students struggle with understanding the various medical and/or mental health conditions that their child(ren) or loved ones may be suffering with and are unaware how they may support them.
I would love to provide them with an opportunity to review various resources (books) that may answer the questions that they may have so that they understand and accept the conditions and continue the road to resilience.
