Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I work with are in a low-income area, with few resources readily provided for them. Many of my students live in local homeless shelters because of their unfortunate family situations. They want to learn and do well, but their circumstances do not allow for it. Many of my students are new to the country and are ELL students. They come from families where English is not often spoken. For many of my students, this is their first experience in America.
During this unprecedented time, my students have been at a disadvantage because they do not have the proper materials to learn remotely.
They lack technology, wifi, and simple basics like pencils and paper.
My students need you and me to help provide what they need to be successful in school.
My Project
My amazing fourth graders are craving all the things that they need to have a successful school year. My class is completely remote and is learning 100% online. This is something that no one could have ever imagined.
Having chart paper, markers, and ink will allow me to be the teacher that my students need so that they can have fabulous lessons taught to them daily!
My students will be able to use the crayons and markers to create projects like our books for the American Revolution and for immigration.
