This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 2nd grade in an inclusion program. I have students with reading challenges, while learning from home. My school is a multicultural elementary school that includes a lot of learning styles. Students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
My ultimate goal is to provide the best education and a safe learning environment for all of my students by supporting their everyday needs.
My students love drawing and painting and during this difficult time, that has helped them with their emotional stress and anxiety. My students are finding their inner strengths during this time, and they are helping each other.
Preparing our students for the future is crucial for educational success. During uncertain times like today, we need to secure the future for our students. Underprivileged students deserve a great education even if it's an online education during school closures.
My Project
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my second graders have been learning from home. We Zoom everyday and they now know our daily routines. They have learned to show compassion and patience when one of us encounters a personal concern or technical/wifi issues.
I am requesting HP ink so I can print fun and interesting visuals and resources from Teachers Pay Teachers and other websites for distance learning.
When students are engaged, they are motivated. This leads to them being focused, actively participating in lessons, and completing assignments. I want my students to have every opportunity possible to be successful.
