Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love the fact that although my students live in areas that are economically challenged and resource deficient, they have the drive and ability to be successful academically. Our students just need an environment that is energetic, encouraging, and comfortable. My students are always trying to do their best in spite of having limited resources. They come to class ready to learn. My students are aware that education is a pathway to changing their situation, so they come to school and give it their best.

My Project

Having the appropriate resources can be a defining line between a student's success and failure. Schools that are in low-income school districts oftentimes face the challenges of providing their students with the necessary resources to be successful. I feel that is it is shameful that a student's success oftentimes depend on their economic status. The lack of sufficient resources represents a lost opportunity for the students, our community, and the future of education. The lack of resources is affecting the ability of educators to deliver a top-notch education to all students.

With your help, I am vowing to provide my students with all of the necessary resources to ensure their success one project at a time.

It is my belief that it takes a village. This is why I am reaching out to people like you, who share the same core values for our babies and want to take part in their success as well.
