My students need these resources (phonics stamps, comprehension activities, and word wheels) to work on those rudimentary skills needed to understand phonic and develop fluent reading skills.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach and service groups of kind-hearted special education students in grades k-6th grade. Many of my students are from Hispanic, Haitian and African American descendants and many of their parents do not speak English at all. Though there is a language barrier from school to home, they appreciate every opportunity to learn. My students are more than the difficulties that make learning hard. They have a yearning to be the best and they need the tools to help me maximize their success.
My Project
This project requests sets of educational tools that will help students develop reading skills. These materials will give students a variety of engaging games to help them with reading tasks. By using games like foam stamps kids will be able to fill in the missing letter to complete the word! The foam stamps give students the skills needed to identify missing beginning, middle, and ending letter sounds as well as explore blends, digraphs and higher-level vowel sounds. With picture comprehension activity cards students take a closer look at identifying characters and settings, describing key ideas, and making inferences. By utilizing games in the classroom students are having fun and engaging academically during their reading experience.
This project would significantly help my students' development basic reading skills.
Students would be presented with new opportunities to interactively work on sounds, writing letters, building words and develop reading fluency. Reading takes practice and I want to ensure that my students have the opportunity to work on these skills despite how difficult and unfamiliar they are at this time. By having these tools my students will not only build on reading but they will also become more confident with tasks that are difficult.
