Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist working in a very large low-income urban district. The school where I work is like a big family of students and staff very eager to learn and teach. My students come from various backgrounds and cultures, which makes it really interesting when communicating and sharing ideas. I service 50 amazing students with special needs who work very hard everyday to achieve their goals and become better and effective communicators in order to shine in this constantly evolving world that we live in.
My Project
My amazing students learn in many different ways and I like to always expose them to different materials. We use visuals, auditory, and tactile elements to engage in learning. With this materials I will be able to teach them different concepts related to their communication skills and keep track of what they are learning. I will also be able to read stories with them and they will be able to follow with the different and fun visuals. All this materials will help me make interesting and interactive lessons for my amazing students, keep track of their progress when compared to the Common Core, and share that progress with their parents.
