I think it is a great privilege to help educate, inspire and help our youth grow in the world today.
As educators, we have this opportunity, but sometimes circumstances arise and make it difficult to achieve these things. The school I teach at is full of outstanding kids! Our students are creative, smart, driven, hard working as well as willing and yearning to learn and grow.
Most of our students come from Title I elementary schools. Our students don't come from homes where they can provide school supplies or extras. As teachers of low income students, we have to provide classroom necessities as well as any "extras" that help make a huge difference in our classrooms. I would greatly love and appreciate supplies to help my students and reward/ motivate them.
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help a diverse group of students grow in their reading as well as other content areas. I already know where each item is going and what each item will be used for. The books and folders will be used for reading instruction both at school and at home with these students. The whiteboards will be used to help with formative assessments, centers, and small groups in class. Other supplies and incentives will also help my students in their education and reward/incentivize them to work hard.
I have students who are yearning to learn and grow but need resources both at school and at home.
These books and other resources will greatly help in teaching these students and helping them achieve their goals.
