What makes my students unique is the way they support one another. My students live in a very small tight knit community. They are sweet and supportive and they take care of their fellow students in a way I had never experienced before teaching at HH.
The students in my classroom love learning and I genuinely look forward to teaching them math and computer science every day.
I have witnessed hundreds of acts of kindness from my students. They are always looking out for one another in a way that inspires me.
My Project
These headphones will give my students the tools they need to work on STEM projects in my classroom. I am striving to integrate as much computer science as I can into my curriculum. It is something my students very much enjoy and it goes hand in hand with math.
Math class is not always the students' favorite subject, so making the classroom more welcoming and engaging is important to me.
That is why I am also seeking funding for math posters and a wall clock with math equations marking the hours to hang in my classroom. The posters I have selected are inspiring, encouraging, informative and will really jaz up the plain, block walls in my class. Additionally, the Decodyne wall clock will be a fun challenge for my students and show them how numbers can be represented in different ways. With your help, I will be able to create a fun and engaging learning environment for my students.
