My Students
I will be working with students in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade with reading, writing and math skills. These students struggle with these skills in their classes and need special education support. They struggle with either a learning disability, ADHD, or are on the Autism Spectrum.
These students learn differently and need hands on and engaging activities to access the general education standards.
Many of these students need to be taught in smaller groups with specific learning tools and games to make learning accessible to them and fun!
My Project
My goal is to have the Resource Room ready with resources to encourage students to feel safe and enjoy learning while achieving their academic goals. Hands on "Touch and Say" reading skills cards make learning to read fun.
Donating to our project, will not only help to improve and increase student engagement, success and focus, you will also help to increase their overall academic achievement.
A variety of books, such as "Who Will Win?", "Stink" and Flat Stanley", excites kids and makes them want to read!
"Privacy Particians" make students focus better on their work.
Engaging games such as a version of Janga that uses sight words, addition or multiplication makes working on remedial skills exciting. These item will enable my classroom to truly be what it is, a Resource room!
