My third grade friends inspire me every single day. I often sit in awe of them and think to myself, "Who is doing the teaching here?" I truly believe I learn more from my students than they do from myself! My students need materials that can challenge them appropriately everyday! This crew is fine tuning their ability to navigate technology, grow in their love for reading, and increase their global and community awareness. I am passionate about providing them resources to grow and invest in their futures!
My Project
There are a number of items that would greatly improve my students' abilities to research topics that will be explored during the school year. The Chromebook will add to our classroom for students to not only being self-sufficient in their ability to broaden their understanding of topics, but strengthen their typing abilities, respond to discussion topics, and much more. We are also in need of books that are focused on biographies to work on nonfiction text structures/features, but also to improve our understanding of incredible people who shaped and changed our world around us. Finally, the last item needed for our classroom are our "private offices". These will allow students to successfully work in their own space and help them to stay on task during their workday.
