My Students

My students are thoughtful, kind, and hard working. They are always curious about the world around them and love seeking out information to share with others. They also enjoy playing math games to practice skills they've learned in class.

These students enjoy working together in pairs and groups as they learn how to research people, animals, and places for social studies and science classes.

Many students don't have access to technology at home to do research assignments, or practice math skills, and they fall behind. By allowing them time on the tablets to do the research, as well as practice reading and math skills, they are able to keep up with their classmates.

My Project

We currently have 5 i-Pads in our classroom which isn't enough for my students to effectively do their research projects. We have a computer lab for 45 minutes a week. I use that time to practice key boarding skills since our tests are all on the computer. That means that research has to be in the classroom.

I'm asking for additional tablets, so my 4th graders are able to practice this very important life skill they'll need throughout their school career.

I'm confident that extra tablets will help support all of my students and get them ready for 5th grade.
