I am a Media Specialist for a high school in rural Pender County, North Carolina. We currently have 51% of our students receiving free lunch and 6.75% are English Limited. Being a poor county, with an increasing population, our funds are extremely limited. In addition, we have a very diverse social and economic pool of students. On a yearly basis our English teachers bring students into the school library to conduct research on King Arthur. Approximately 50 students from 2 classes are involved in this research project. Upon searching our available books, we discovered those students would have a difficult time researching King Arthur due to a lack of books. At the present, there are not enough books for even half of the students to check out. If there were more resources for our students to check out, then the students researching this subject would be more productive. In order to increase our collection of King Arthur books, we will need the titles: King Arthur : Dark Age Warrior and Mythic Hero, Acts of King Arthur and His Noble Knights, Arthurian Legends : An Illustrated Anthology, The Legend of the Grail (Arthurian Studies).
