Our Agriscience program prepares students for career opportunities in agriculture, food and natural resources. We develop their technical skills and emphasize professional skills such as work ethic, attention to detail and doing the right thing.
Research and innovation in agriculture are critical to our food future.
We look at things in a focused way in our agriculture program. Our goals to expose students to work-based research and learning opportunities around agricultural and natural resources careers.
Many of our students are economically disadvantaged, so being able to provide needed laboratory tools is vital to their success.
My Project
Our students earn science credit in agricultural science classes. A laboratory notebook is an essential tool for collecting and analyzing data.
Having a common format of laboratory notebook will help my students collaborate on agricultural research and development.
We will be conducting a variety of activities, projects, and problems around agriculture, food and natural resources and keeping good lab notes as we work is important.
Our goal is to give our students the skills to document, in a scientific manner, their projects and procedures, data collected and conclusions and inferences from a variety of experiments, research projects and problem-solving exercises including work-based, outside of class time projects.
