I teach at a vibrant community school located in the heart of Minnesota. At our school the students are nurtured and encouraged, creativity and kindness are cherished, and they are held accountable and mentored to find their gifts and paths to success.
My students are kind and empathetic learners who are building social skills that will help them become independent thinkers through inquiry and action.
Involvement by our families and our surrounding community greatly contribute to our learning environment. Our school youth programs provide a variety of academic and enrichment classes in a fun and safe learning environment for students at little to no cost.
My Project
Pom poms will allow our Spirit Squad the opportunity to showcase the gross motor skills they have been developing and mastering. Pom poms will continue to enhance our Spirit Squad identity, increase school community, and support relationships in and around our school. Making sure students have access to pom poms is an essential component in capturing their interest, increase participation in our school youth programs, and motivating them. I have noticed amazing growth within my students when discussing the use of pom poms with our school song and previously learned cheers.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student confidence and gross motor skills, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
