I am already in love with my class! They have made the first few weeks of school unforgettable. This class is so incredibly loving. I get hugs every day and they are always giving compliments and lifting each other up. Many times they will come up and just give me random hugs for no reason at all. They make me smile and brighten my days.
This class is very energetic and enthusiastic every single day.
This can be a challenge at times, but also very exciting! They love school and are so excited to learn. I have so many fun games, projects, and activities planned for them. I know they will dive into anything we are doing and have a blast with it!
Just last week we were doing a project creating various plant parts. Each group had a to build a different plant part and then collaborate with other groups to build a full plant. They had so much fun creating and imagining ways to show the function of the plant parts and they went beyond what I had imagined. They are a very loving and special class.
My Project
During the last few years of teaching, I have learned that two major aspects help students learn and grow immensely. Those are engagement and real-world learning. With these resources, both of these would be met. The green screen, green screen support system, tripod, and microphone would help me teach my content and standards in exciting and interesting ways.
Every student deserves the chance to be excited and engaged in their learning.
The green screen would help! One way I would use the equipment is to have the students be newscasters reporting on a topic. They would read a current event article and then find the main idea and supporting key details. Next, they would turn that into a news reporting script. And finally, they would film each other as news reporters. This is just one lesson out of many that I have planned with the green screen and video recording materials.
My class is already so energetic and wanting to learn. I know this project will help them love learning even more!
