My students learn best with hands-on experiments and firsthand looks at things. They have a great enthusiasm for learning math and science and this school year, I will be teaching ELA and Social Studies as well. We are from a Title I school.
My students come to school with an eagerness to learn.
We are a Title I school. I want to grow my students' curiosity to learn by showing them that learning can be fun. Mrs. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus series always said, "Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" My class does this with hands-on learning and STEAM. My classroom is a fun and inviting place to learn. I have hands-on activities every day. My goal is to introduce students to science in a fun way and inspire students to want to pursue a career in science. I also have a goal to inspire students to have a love of learning for years to come. I want to also teach my students how to show empathy and to be caring. We want to help our fellow students at our school and in our community that could be experiencing financial difficulties or homeless/homelessness.
My Project
My students love STEM activities and its that time of the school year where supplies for such activities start to run low. With masking tape and gorilla tape, my students can put together many contraptions and build solutions to STEM problems.
With poster board and pencils, students can share what they built and learned from their STEM projects and activities.
Students deserve a chance to create and build and STEM projects that incorporate what they are learning in class are a great way to do this. I love to see the solutions to STEM projects that my students come up with and I can not wait to share with our donors what they create as well.
