Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from high poverty and low-income backgrounds. As as teacher, I look for as many opportunities to help my students get the resources they need to be successful. They face many challenges outside of school and I want them to come to school knowing that those challenges will not interfere in their learning.
My school is a Title I school where the majority of our students are from low-income homes.
The school does its best to provide what they can to our students, but we cannot always meet the demands. My students are intelligent and motivated to excel in school. They deserve to have access to all the resources that will make them successful.
My Project
We are approaching the middle of the school year. AWe have already done so much this school and we are ready to continue strong. My students are in need of pencils, erasers, and glue. We use these daily. The binders and dividers will be used for student homework and daily communication with parents. I will use the paper to make copies of daily classroom work. The pens and highlighters will be for teacher use.
Our classroom is in need of every day supplies and I hope that you will donate to replenish the needs of my students so that we do not have an interruption in learning.
I know something as simple as new supplies will help motivate my students to finish the school right.
