My students love to create meaningful representations of the concepts we learn in Biology! But we can't right now. We need markers, glue and scissors to produce the material for our active notebooks. We need supplies to produce colorful flow charts and to diagram the intricate workings of the cell!
My students are a fantastic group of Biologists!
They are a diverse group of students ranging from 9th graders to 11th graders. Students of every academic level pass through my classroom door.

My Project
My students will use their materials every day! The possibilities are endless but include the following. They will use them to create their own Biology notebook/text book. My students will create visual aids that enable them to understand the complicated concepts we discuss - such as the cell cycle. My students will create and color diagrams of the different structures within a cell. They will create materials for their classmates and present information to their peers as they become experts of Biology!
My project will make a difference because my students will be able to create items that will help them understand Biology!
My students routinely come to my class at lunch and after school to use supplies that are not available to them at home. I want all of my students to have what they need to complete creative and meaningful activities in my class.
