My Students

I teach awesome 2nd graders! We build community and treat each other like a class family. Our school is a safe, family-friendly school. We are a Title I school with over 82% on free or reduced lunch. Our school is diverse and inclusive of many different cultures.

Second graders love to learn!

Some of my students' favorite things to do include reading, writing stories, and playing math games. My students are learning many positive character traits such as perseverance, cooperation, and being forgiving of others when they make mistakes.

We believe in getting better and better every day!

My Project

I am looking for funding for 3 items that we need added or replenished for 2019. My students LOVE colored pencils. They never want to use their crayons, just colored pencils. Most of the ones we started the year with have gotten too small to sharpen. We also need water color paints. We did not have these on our back to school supply list, so we do not have any in the classroom. I'd like to have some for the students to share and use for upcoming projects (like Mother's Day and end-of-the year crafts). Lastly, we need a supply of white bags. The students use these bags for decorating for special occasions or gift giving (i.e. winter ornaments, Mother's Day gifts, end of school year treat bags, etc.).

Thank you for considering helping us add these creative items to our classroom shelves!
