Replacing Pandemic Library Losses

My Students
I work in a school with students from a variety of backgrounds whose learning levels vary greatly. Our population is very culturally and socially diverse. Many of our students are new to the United States and are learning to speak and read English.
Our school has active library and talent programs. Students come with their classes, and also independently during homeroom and their lunch periods. They use the library for projects, to borrow books, to use desktop computers and Chromebooks, and also to attend book club meetings. Students also choose between art, music, dance, band and string orchestra classes.
My Project
When school closed suddenly in March 2020, the most active time of the school year for the library, many of our most popular books were checked out. Many library have not returned due to remote learning, students moving on to high school, and relocation.
Our budget cannot absorb the loss fully, and so we are hoping for help from the generosity of the community. Donations will support independent reading by students learning at school, to whose classrooms books are delivered, and remote students, available for grab and go pick-up and drop-off.
