My Students

My students are very enthusiastic and curious little people. They love to ask questions and learn from each other. They are extremely accepting of each other’s differences. They are compassionate, kind hearted kids who look out for each other and help each other be the best they can be. Many of my students come from backgrounds that are less than ideal. Some don’t know where they are sleeping that night, or where their next meal will come from. I try to make my classroom a place where they feel comfortable and safe so that they can be the best learner they can be.

My Project

My students love to listen to my books on cd. I have used a lot of resources creating a large listening library. Listening to books helps my students with their fluency and reading in general. Everyday, either my students headphones break or the CD player isn’t working. They would be thrilled with dependable materials to use.

My students also use book bins that they fill with books they are interested in and can read.

Right now they have cardboard bins, which are showing their wear. It would fantastic to get sturdy, reusable bins for my student now, and in the future.
