My art students are a highly diverse group of individuals, ranging from very advanced to severely handicapped. The students also range in socioeconomic levels from the very privileged to extreme basic needs. In my classroom, the students work very hard to master to the best of their abilities the art of painting, sculpting and drawing. They love to learn about art, art history and to practice new techniques. Some of my students cannot afford art supplies at home, and do not have access to a fine art education outside of school.
My Project
My students require a variety of mediums to be able to meet their California State Standards for Visual Arts. Please help us to replace our empty paint marker bin. We need paint markers to be able to add color to surfaces such as wood, ceramic bisque, metal and plastic. The paint markers also help students who lack the fine motor skills to do small detail work with brushes. We have a Claes Oldenburg sculpture project coming up, where students need to create sculptures of food. This is going to involve a lot of creativity, and fine detail painting. Please help my students to be successful in making realistic food sculptures.
