Help me give my students a few items my class this year is in desperate need of. Right now I have make shift privacy shields I made out of file folders but they don't stay open and so
Teaching at a Title I school, more than half of my students come from low socio-economic households. My students range from very independent learners to very dependent and full of social and emotional needs. Needless to say, nothing stops them from learning and growing throughout the year. In addition, my students are very eager learners and love a good challenge to keep them motivated and learning. My students enjoy sharing many experiences with me and are always asking questions! We love learning new things every day!
This year I will be going back to 1st grade after teaching 2nd grade for the last two years.
My Project
As I said the privacy shields are going to come in very handy during spelling tests and other times that we need them. These privacy shields are heavy duty and will last through the years. Next, our magazines are slowly coming apart and I am hoping to get those replaced. Every Monday, we start the week off with magazine Monday and they get to explore these type of magazines I am requesting. They really enjoy these and sometimes they subscribe and are able to read them at home as well. Lastly, the lap blanket is an expensive item that I do not have the budget for that I would like to provide for my students to help them focus better. I love the idea of being able to provide this comfort item for my students.
