Help me give my students an Apple Pencil, and supplies to refill consumable materials, such as permanent markers, paint, and instant film for our Polaroid camera.
My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.
Many of my students come from middle- to low-income families.
My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on new challenges. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.
My Project
This project is all about replacing consumable materials or adding to our current technology.
The Apple Pencil will be used in conjunction with our new (thanks DC) iPad Air when taking notes for students who are absent.
Taking notes in the app Goodnotes will be done by students, for students who are absent or working from home. The other items, the permanent markers, shrink film, instant film for our Polaroid camera, and tempura paint will be used to create projects to cement learning in all subject areas. My students love to create art projects to show off their knowledge after mastering concepts in social studies and science.
