My Students

As a special education teacher, I focus on kindergarten through second-grade students through my work with inclusion, promoting positive mental health, encouraging skill development through exploration and interests, and on social-emotional learning.

Students have diverse learning styles and need to meet their individualized learning objectives and curriculum standards.

By having the curriculum and learning materials readily available, I can specially design lessons that look at the whole child.

With the curriculum and materials, I create a program that has been developed to promote a child’s need for play, social skills, technology skills, active engagement, and leadership with learning.

My Project

Currently, students are part of a never experienced endeavor, being educated at home with the supports of teachers, family, and community. This project brings in books that will be here for the remote learning and when they return to school.

Students need to keep reading books, whether in the classroom or at home.

These books provide families a way to have books at home that students can cuddle up and read with parents, by themselves, or even to their pets.

These books will be used after the teacher targets phonics, sight words, and reading strategies through online work and for direct instruction and in-class teaching modalities when they return.
