This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students range in grades from Kindergarten through 5th Grade. We are a Title 1 school and unfortunately, several families from our 111 community have been directly impacted by Covid-19.
As we are trying to offer our students consistency in their learning during this troubling time in NYC, they are being faced with challenging distractions in all directions.
As educators, we are doing all we can to support our remote learners as we tread through this difficult time together.
My Project
During this time of Remote Learning, students are being asked to engage in live lessons which is an entirely new phenomenon! For this project, I am asking to receive supports that will simplify the learning transition for each of my students.
Being that there are so many distractions my students are being faced with, I would love to be able to limit any distractions that I can to support them with their learning during these tough months.
Receiving a Wacom One, I will be able to share my computer screen with my students as they watch my problem-solving sketches appear on their screens immediately. A monitor will enable me to see my students in our Google Meets while delivering a lesson to them (GAME CHANGER)!
