This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our second grade classroom is filled with bright, inquisitive minds with a sincere love of learning. Even as a remote classroom community they inspire one another in their shared brilliance and take on academic challenges with great energy.
As we learn remotely, even our tech-wizard students enjoy hands-on activities and movement.
As we learn together at home, we tune in to read, listen, speak up, build our concepts and try new skills. Students proudly hold up answers on their whiteboards and scribble away in their journals. We are so excited for this one-of-a-kind school year!
My Project
Our second graders learn best when they can move, write, and play in a hands-on learning environment. Their creativity and problem solving is awakened when they have the tools for self-expression and visualizing difficult problems.
By assembling a learning bin for each student, we'll ensure that students start the year ready.
We'll equip each and every student for learning success with cutting edge math and writing tools. We won't have to waste time drawing lines on our paper or animating clocks if we have the materials right in our hands! Most importantly, all students will have a familiar set of supplies to bridge the gap between classroom and home.
