Help me give my students tools they need to be successful during remote learning. These games will help students with reading and problem solving at home.
My students are creative, caring and love to learn! My school is Title 1, with many students receiving support. They support each other with their social emotional learning and with their academic learning. This class is a fantastic community of learners!
Our campus is located in South Central Austin and is filled with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Many of my students are refugees/asylees from the Middle East. Our campus celebrates our diversity with a Cultural Festival, Black History celebration, Dia de Los Muertos Parade, just to name a few. During these celebrations students and families get to highlight their culture and family history.
I teach math and science for two classes of amazing Third Graders. I taught them last year is Second and was lucky enough to loop up with them this year to continue in Third! In my class we use a lot of hands on materials that help students make strong connections during all subjects, especially during math.
My Project
Letter tiles help students break words down and get them to read multi-syllabic words. It helps all students, but is also used in conjunction with lessons for dyslexic learners.
During classroom math blocks, all students had access to math manipulatives to help them create connections while problem solving.
Now in remote learning students do not have these items at home. These items are packaged individually and I can get them to all of my students. The math materials will help students succeed during remote learning! Thank you for your support!
