I am a first year teacher at an arts-integrated Title I school in Idaho. I love that each student is coming to me with different academic abilities and socioeconomic statuses, but their love for art is what connects us.
I recently became the fully remote teacher for our grade level which has drastically changed the way I teach from day-to-day. With remote learning, I find myself sharing a screen and sitting all day, which is not an authentic way to teach or learn. Through the use of the big book easel and presentation board, I can stand and teach phonics and reading even though my firsties are fully remote. This will allow me the opportunity to create engagement by being more animated through instruction.
Additionally, because I am fully remote, the need for already-created materials is high!
I would love a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to help purchase engaging assignments and Boom Cards for my students' learning to thrive.
